Example: you hold Ctrl and Win and say “um, mom, I'm leaving now, like, I'll be there around eight, can you save me a plate please”. When you let go, Loro types in WhatsApp: “Mom, I'm leaving now. I'll be there around eight. Can you save me a plate, please?”
Example: on a video call with a client, Loro asks “Take notes on this call?”. With one click it moves to the right side of the screen and listens while Carlos, Daniela and you talk about their company's online store, the budget and the dates; you jot down whatever you want. When you hang up, Loro writes the notes on its own: the meeting's topics and everyone's next steps.
Example: you hold Ctrl and Win and say "Loro, I need to call the accountant on Friday." When you let go, Loro adds it to your list for Friday, next to what you agreed to on your call with Daniela and Carlos. You click the circle on one: in progress. Another click: done.

Notes
Hang up, and the note is already written.
Loro listens to the call from your computer, without adding a bot to the meeting.
-
If you connect your calendar, Loro lets you know a minute before each meeting. If the call wasn't on your calendar, it still asks. It never records on its own: it takes notes when you click.
-
During the call, Loro sits at the side of your screen and listens. Jot down what matters to you, or write nothing at all: Loro still catches everything.
-
When you hang up, Loro writes the note on its own, no extra click: the meeting's topics and the next steps, with each person's name. Yours go on your to-do list once you confirm them.
-
Ask it anything: what's left to do, a follow-up email or a summary for WhatsApp. Loro answers with what was said and shows you which meeting it came from.
To-do
Your list fills up on its own.
Hang up, confirm what's yours, and it's on your list. Anything else, just tell Loro.
-
1Confirm it
When you hang up, the note shows your next steps, already checked. Look them over, click “Add to To-do” and they go on your list, with a date if someone said when.
-
2Say it
Hold Ctrl + Win and say "Loro, I need to…". If you say when, Loro adds the date. You can also type it.
-
3Mark it
Click the circle: once and it's in progress, again and it's done. If something gets stuck, pause it and write down why.
-
4Ask
For example: "What do I have tomorrow?" or "What's paused?" Loro answers with what's on your list.

Frequently asked questions
Which apps can I dictate in?
Anywhere you can type: Word, Gmail, WhatsApp, Outlook, Google Docs, ChatGPT, Excel and more. If you see the cursor blinking, Loro can type there.
How is it different from Windows or phone dictation?
Loro writes what you meant, not word for word: it drops the “um”s and “uh”s and adds punctuation. When you’re online, it also catches it when you correct yourself (“at 5, no, at 6” becomes “at 6”) and matches the tone of each app.
What languages does it work in?
English and Spanish. Dictate in either one and Loro types in the language you spoke. The app comes in both languages too.
Does it understand my accent?
Yes. It understands English and Spanish with accents from all over: the US, the UK, Mexico, Spain, Argentina and more. If a name or word gives it trouble, add it to your dictionary and it'll spell it right from then on.
Which keys do I use?
On Windows, always Ctrl + Win: hold them while you talk and, when you let go, the text appears. If you started by accident, press Esc before letting go and Loro won't type anything.
On a Mac, always fn: hold it while you talk and, when you let go, the text appears. If you started by accident, press Esc before letting go and Loro won’t type anything.
What if there's nowhere to type?
Loro copies the text and lets you know: paste it with Ctrl + V wherever you want. Plus, every dictation is saved in your history.
How does it take notes in my meetings?
If you connect Google Calendar, Loro lets you know a minute before each meeting; if the call wasn't on your calendar, it still asks. With one click it listens from your computer and, when you hang up, writes the note. Works with Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp and other call apps.
How do things get on my to-do list?
When you hang up, the note shows what you agreed to on the call; once you confirm it with "Add to To-do", it goes on your list. For anything else, hold Ctrl + Win and say "Loro, I need to…", or press Ctrl + Space and type it. If you say when ("tomorrow", "on Friday"), Loro adds the date. Your AI can add to-dos too, even when your computer is off.
Does my voice get uploaded to the internet?
When you're online, yes: Loro turns your voice into text in the cloud, which handles noise and accents better, and the recording is deleted as soon as it becomes text. If you'd rather your voice never left your computer, pick “On your computer” in Settings. Offline, everything happens on your computer.
Do you keep what I dictate?
Your voice, never. The text of your dictations is kept for 30 days on Loro's servers so we can see how it writes and improve it; it's never sold or used for ads. You can turn it off in Settings › Privacy, and delete what was saved right there.
Do my meetings get uploaded to the internet?
The audio is never kept. When you're online, Loro turns what's said into text in the cloud, sentence by sentence, and the recording is deleted right away. Your notes, with what was said as text, are also saved in your Loro account so your AI can read them from anywhere. If you'd rather nothing leaves your computer, pick “On your computer” in Settings and turn off the copy in Privacy.
How much does it cost?
Loro is free with 2,000 words of dictation per week, plus unlimited meeting notes and to-dos (you can see the notes from the last 30 days). Pro costs USD 9.99 a month or USD 80 a year, with no limits. For your team it's the same price, per person. If you run out of words, Loro finishes typing what you were dictating and lets you know: they come back on Monday.
What computer do I need?
One with Windows 10 or 11, or a Mac with macOS 14.2 or later (Apple chip or Intel). It runs on regular laptops, no graphics card needed. We recommend 8 GB of memory.
Is there a version for Mac or for my phone?
For Mac, yes: macOS 14.2 or later. For phones, not yet.
