Loro for teachers: dictate feedback, messages to families and meeting minutes

In short
Teachers write all day: homework feedback, messages to families, the week's lesson plan and meeting minutes. With Loro you say it instead of typing it: hold Ctrl + Win (fn on a Mac) in Word, Google Docs, WhatsApp or your email, talk, and the text appears with periods, commas and capitals, without the "um"s. And on video calls, Loro takes the notes without adding a bot.
What teachers write the most
- Feedback on homework, essays and tests.
- Messages to families, on WhatsApp or by email.
- The week's lesson plan and each activity's instructions.
- Minutes of parent meetings and staff meetings.
- Progress reports.
You talk about three times faster than you type. Over a school week, that's real time.
How Loro helps, with examples
Homework feedback
Put the cursor in the student's document, hold Ctrl + Win and say: "um, great essay Sofia, uh, check the conclusion because it needs a concrete example". Loro types: "Great essay, Sofia. Check the conclusion: it needs a concrete example.".
Messages to families
In WhatsApp or your email, you say: "good afternoon families, um, a reminder that Friday is the museum trip, uh, and I need the signed permission slip by Tuesday". Loro types: "Good afternoon, families. A reminder that Friday is the museum trip, and I need the signed permission slip by Tuesday.".
Lesson plans
Dictate in Word or Google Docs what you'll do each day, the way you'd tell a colleague. With Loro Pro you can select it all, hold Ctrl + Win and ask "turn this into bullets by day" or "make it more formal".
Meetings and minutes
- Online (Meet, Zoom, Teams or WhatsApp): Loro listens without adding a bot and, when you hang up, gives you the topics, the agreements and each person's next steps.
- In person: afterwards, open the minutes and dictate them. Here's a parent meeting minutes template to copy.
Your data and your students'
- Your voice is not stored. Online, it's turned into text in the cloud and the recording is deleted right away.
- If you'd rather nothing leaves your computer, pick "On your computer" in Settings. Offline, everything happens on your computer.
- Your dictation text is kept for 30 days to improve Loro; you can turn that off and delete it in Settings › Privacy.
- If your school has rules about student data, follow them: pick "On your computer" and turn off the copy of your notes in your account.
