Loro for accountants: dictate emails and explanations for clients, and take notes of your calls

In short
Accountants write a lot more than it seems: emails to clients, tax explanations, document reminders, notes in Excel and call summaries. With Loro you say it instead of typing it: hold Ctrl + Win (fn on a Mac) in your email, WhatsApp or a cell, talk, and the text appears with periods, commas and capitals. On video calls with clients, Loro takes the notes without a bot and your to-dos go on your list with one click.
What accountants write the most
- Emails and messages asking for documents or explaining a process.
- Reminders about due dates.
- Notes and remarks in each client's spreadsheets.
- Summaries of meetings with clients and with the team.
How Loro helps, with examples
Asking for documents
In your email or WhatsApp, you say: "hi andrea, um, to close your return I still need the September invoices, uh, can you send them when you get a chance". Loro types: "Hi Andrea, to close your return I still need the September invoices. Can you send them when you get a chance?".
Explaining something complicated, simply
Dictate the explanation the way you'd tell the client. With Loro Pro, select it, hold Ctrl + Win and ask "make it simpler" or "turn it into three steps".
Notes in Excel
Double-click the cell, hold Ctrl + Win and dictate the remark: "client asked to move the payment date to the fifteenth". For exact figures and formulas, use the keyboard. How to dictate in Excel.
Client calls
In Meet, Zoom, Teams or WhatsApp, Loro listens without a bot and, when you hang up, leaves the note with the topics and each person's next steps. What you need to do goes to your To-do with one click, with a date if someone said when. You can also say "Loro, I need to call Andrea on Friday" and it lands on your list.
Your clients' data
- Audio is never stored.
- "On your computer" (in Settings): your voice is turned into text on your computer and never leaves it.
- Your dictation text is kept for 30 days to improve Loro; you can turn that off and delete it in Settings › Privacy.
- Your meeting notes are also saved in your Loro account so your AI can read them; that copy can be turned off in Privacy.
What it costs
- Free: 2,000 dictation words a week and unlimited meeting notes (you see the last 30 days).
- Pro: unlimited dictation and your whole history, for USD 9.99 a month or USD 80 a year.
- For your firm: the same Pro price, per person.

Frequently asked questions
Can I dictate numbers with Loro?
Yes, but for exact figures, amounts and formulas the keyboard is safer. Dictation pays off most in emails, explanations and notes.
Does Loro work in my accounting software?
Loro types into any text box on Windows or Mac, including accounting programs and the browser.
How do I get it to spell my clients' names right?
Add them to your dictionary. If you fix a name after dictating it, Loro learns it on its own.
Can I see what's pending with each client?
Yes. Ask the meeting note "what's still pending?", or check your To-do: when you hang up, the note shows what you need to do and adds it with one click.
